1. Postal Assistant:

- Educational Qualification:
a) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.

2. Sorting Assistant:
- Number of Posts: 143
- Pay: Level 4 (Rs 25,500 - Rs.81,100)
- Educational Qualification:
a) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
b) Proficiency in computer operations.
3. Postman:
- Number of Posts: 585
- Pay: Level 3 (Rs 21,700 - Rs.69,100)
- Educational Qualification:
a) 12th standard pass from a recognized Board.
b) Proficiency in the local language of the concerned Postal Circle or Division as one of the subjects in 10th standard or above.
c) Proficiency in computer operations.
d) Valid license to drive a two-wheeler or Light Motor Vehicle (For the post of Postman only). Persons with Benchmark Disability are exempted from the possession of a license.
4. Mail Guard:
- Number of Posts: 3
- Pay: Level 3 (Rs 21,700 - Rs.69,100)
- Educational Qualification:
a) 12th standard pass from a recognized Board.
b) Proficiency in the local language of the concerned Postal Circle or Division as one of the subjects in 10th standard or above.
c) Proficiency in computer operations.

5. Multi Tasking Staff:

Other Criteria for India Post Recruitment 2023
Age Limit:
- Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant/Postman/Mail Guard: The candidate's age must be between 18-27 years.
- Multi Tasking Staff: The candidate's age must be between 18-25 years.
Age Relaxation:
- A relaxation of five (5) years in the upper age limit is applicable in each case.
- An additional relaxation of five (5) years in the upper age limit is granted exclusively to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST), resulting in a total age relaxation of 10 years for SC/ST candidates.
Sports Qualification:
A candidate is considered a meritorious sportsperson if they meet any of the following criteria:
- a) Representation of a State or the Country in National or International competitions in any of the sports/games mentioned in the notification.
- b) Representation of their university in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board in any of the sports/games listed in para 7 of the notification.
- c) Representation of the State School teams in the National Sports/Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in any of the sports/games mentioned in para 7 of the notification.
- d) Receipt of National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.
