Assam Direct Recruitment (ADRE) - 12600 Posts Vacancy, Grade III & Grade IV


The Government of Assam has issued two job notifications through the respective State Level Recruitment Commissions, aiming to fill a total of 12,600 Grade III and Grade IV vacancies across various government departments and establishments in Assam. The recruitment process for these positions will adhere to the guidelines established by the newly formed Assam Direct Recruitment Commission, as per the Analogous Posts in Class III and Class IV Act of 2021 and the Assam Direct Recruitment for Class III and Class IV Analogous Posts Rules of 2022.

For each category of positions, a comprehensive selection process will take place, which includes a single written examination, as well as a skill test or interview, as applicable. Following these assessments, a merit list will be compiled to facilitate the appointment of qualified candidates.

Educational Qualification For Assam Direct Recruitment (ADRE)

The category-wise eligibility criteria has been mentioned below.

Grade-IV (Class-IV) - 5000 Total Posts
  • Read Upto Class VIII - 1,950 Posts
  • HSLC Or Equivalent Pass - 1,060 Posts
  • HSLC With ITI - 1,990 Posts
Maximum Qualification: The maximum allowed educational qualification for Class-IV posts is HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent examination passed. Candidates having qualification higher than maximum qualification on the date of application are not eligible to apply for these vacancy.

Grade III (Category I)

Educational Qualification: Post-wise qualification is as under.
  • Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s Degree. (As applicable)
  • Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Certificate/ Diploma of minimum 6 months duration. (As applicable)
  • Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Certificate/Diploma of minimum 6(six) months duration and Stenography Certificate  from  recognized  Institute. (As applicable)
  • Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science with Computer Certificate/Diploma of minimum 6(six) months duration  from a  recognized Institute. (As applicable)

Grade III (Category II)

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent examinations. (Some specific posts need candidates to be class 12th passed from science stream.)

Grade III (Category III)

Name Of Post: Driver

Total No. Of Posts: 418 posts

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with valid LMV Driving Licence.

Other Criteria For Assam Direct Recruitment (ADRE)

Age Limit: The Candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2023.

Age Relaxation: The category wise upper age relaxation is as mentioned below

Category-Wise Age Relaxation:
  • OBC - 3 Years
  • SC/ST - 5 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen - 2 Years
  • PwBD - 10 Years
Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India.
 
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must have register their name in any one of the employment exchanges of Assam. 
 
Working Candidate: Those  candidates who  are  already  in Government  service  should  produce NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the respective HoDs (Heads of Departments) at the time of the Skill test/ Document Verification.
